A lactation consultant is a health professional who specializes in the clinical management of breastfeeding. An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) acquires extensive clinical experience for certification, extensive knowledge in anatomy, physiology, and psychology, has passed a board exam and must re-certify every five years.

Breastfeeding helps build the bond between mother and baby while also providing baby with the best nutrition possible. We know that breastfeeding can come with its struggles and that you may require a helping hand along the way.  I as an international certified lactation consultant, IBCLC, am available to provide one-on-one breastfeeding support for you and your family, offering in-home breastfeeding counseling.

As every baby and every situation is unique, you may experience painful latch, thrush, blocked ducts, struggling with positioning, not enough milk supply and others. We will work together to develop a plan to change painful moments to joy and comfort.
